Nice to see its not only me running a bevertail cargo, you are best to put an ad on ebay offering your services try gumtree i am aimming more towards small tractors or exporting.
Can you get a lwb sprinter on your truck ? you have to rember you are fighting for work with the tossers with transits that think they can carry 2 ton on them.

I have just pulled 3 old tractors out of an old farm, i dont have a clue what anybody could do with them as they had more parts missing than anything else.
I have been busy taking cars/4x4 for export try to find somebody who exports cars near where you live go in with a good price dont expect to make big money just start small keep ticking over, i got a lot of my work though word of mouth.
If you do start going to any docks to delivery cars etc for export make sure the car you are taking starts and drives or they might not let you take it off, also make sure you have a hi vis vest steel toe cap boots and a paper to read as sometimes it takes a while to get in and unloaded.
What area are you based in ?
Hope all this helps.

Hi dude, i tried to look for your ad on gumtree but i didnt see it you do know you have to re do it other wise it ends up right down in the list, if you have been bidding on jobs on shippley or any van you are wasting your time as i never think the job exist that come up on there.
just a little i dont know if you know but have you taken the right insurance out as i had to go right into i have a traders policy that covers my truck and my two cars, i spoke to some insurance companys and got told i need goods in transit and others we dont insure recovery trucks in long you only need a traders policy put down you are doing 40% recovery 60% your own work buying and selling if you put down 100% recovery it will cost more as its more high risk.
hope all this helps

lol well there is an odd rear job on there then, i practse with our transit mini bus.
Ifind this is the best order to load.
1) make sure you are on flat level ground. 2)drive the car/van etc upto the end of the ramps, get out make sure you are lined up. 3)keep you drivers window open to pop your head out and drive steady dont what ever you do stick your foot down as this might move your ramps. 4)once you are on the truck hand brake on and in gear. 5)just rember you have to get down and its a long way to fall. 6)put your ramps away. 7)strap the wheels of the car as a rule i do all four but one front and one rear is the minimum. 8)if you are going to be away from your truck make sure you have the keys for the car you are carrying i have a folder that i keep any docs keys etc in. 9)alway make sure the car/van you are moving is above board ask to check the log book check the tax disc has the same reg number, if you get pulled by vosa police they will want to know and they will check, if its found to be stolen they will have the car your truck and you will be arrested. 10)have fun unloading thats more fun than loading lol.
I hope this helps.
Is anybody going to Peterborough truck fest ? if you see a green beavertail sleeper cab ford cargo come and say hello.

it was the wife who booked it, with the truck been pre 1995 it only cost a fiver with that you get tickets we are taking our caravan and a tent for the kids so in total its £40 which i didnt think was to bad.

Hi Cargo815, Nice looking old Cargo you've got there, handy for the shows being a sleeper cab as well.
Hi keithy, After a few times putting cars and vns etc on the back you soon get used to it, but hey always remember how high you are before stepping out of the carried vehicleas cargo815 said you have a long way to fall, ive nearly done it with mine. Good look with you're new venture kid.
All the best
Alf
