Hi, yes i was going to Nottingham to pick a car up, here was me thinking nobody ever noticed an old cargo lol. The wife has to take all the credits for it looking tidy as she was doing all the hard work for peterborough truck fest. James Well, on this Forum, we all know how to sort the Wheat from the Chaff eh... The relentless stream of Euroboxes (Scania, Volvo, Daf etc, etc, snore.....) are just plain boring. Digital trucks, for digital 'drivers'!!! A small meet in your yard at Donny, sounds good to me. Who would come though?? Not many regular posters on here. It's been a while since I've heard the sound of a nicely maintained Dover six-cylinder - I adore my Cummins, but equally love the Ford Dover. Perhaps a meet in your yard one Sunday afternoon, then a small run out somewhere for a bit of lunch and a photo shoot, then home. August/Sept??? My MOT runs out end of this month and I won't be doing it again for at least 2 months; but it will be back on the road mid-July time.

Now if that trailer could be restored you would have a prize winning combo there mate. That trailer is an ex-Salveesen fridge unit. Loaded with old furniture that has rotted the wooden floor. Would need way too much work for an MOT. All the electrics are 'hanging' and the brakes are dragging badly. There is a local'ish company that have said should I need a trailer for shows, or just going out for a jolly to give it a bit of work (just driving around as a unit can glaze the bores up easily on a Cummins) then they will rent me a good day rate.

Thanks James. Yes, I will certainly consider that as it is an ideal central location. Maybe even have a road run somewhere either to or from it. This has got the cogs moving. I'm going to start spreading the word of a possible meet, to see what interest there is out there. If you guys can do the same.
Thanks guys.

Would be good as if at the meet we can get ones from 7 ton up to full artic, it would make for some cracking pictures. Like I say, lets get the word spread, you never know, might even become an annual thing.

Hi, sounds good to me. Maybe we could alternate it every year to another area so those who can't travel far can attend. As for the truck stop, if you could ask, be good to have an idea as a fall back.
