Hello everyone, my name is Juho, I coming from Finland and I have also an old Cargo. Here it is
There is some technical data of it, there you go:
Chassis: 0811 with tilting flatbed ; Gross weight: 7500kg ; Axles: Two. I think front axle has extra leaf springs. ; Steering: Left ; Mileage: 435 500km ( 270 607mi )
Motor: Dorset/Dover ESD-659 ( LINK TO SERVICE MANUAL cworthy.net/boat/documents/Ford%20Diesel%20Power-%20ESD%20Service%20Manual.pdf )
Gearbox: Ford? F5 + R1 manual with hydraulic pump take off. I had also bought F6 + R1 also with big hydraulic pump take off. Many questions about that
Crane: Ferrari GR3000 S2 ; Boom includes two extensions
Reconditioned parts/assemblies:
Brakes (Air tanks, many of air lines, backing plates, brake chambers, brake shoes, hydraulic master cylinders, some hydraulic lines )
Some old pictures are here: cargofanclub.proboards.com/thread/548/811-rear-drum-removal-headache
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chassis (Rear end bar, step boards, front lower "bumper", toolbox, diesel tank)
One of the latest reconditioned parts. The latest inspection failed about these things.
Here some pictures about repair operation.
I made spare parts before I started the job.
First I made front and rear repair support for the chassis. I thought chassis need to be leveled before remove end bar.
Then I removed the end bar. I think somebody has changed place of bar before me. Nobody knows.
Couple hours later
I changed little bit old design of the tow hitch bar. Now I can remove it.
There is couple pics of the step boards.
There is picture before re-inspection. New lower bumper and new step boards.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crane ( Removed all broken extra hydraulic lines, extensions painting, sliding pads, left support leg, some lines, lifting hook assembly )
Here is couple pictures of the extensions repair.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Plans for the recondition: Rear leaf springs, new ramps, fuel pump and nozzles, working lights, new pneumatic air horns, new rear fenders/mudguards, steering gear box, 6-speed gearbox, hydraulic brake lines etc.
Thanks for reading, I have many more pictures but another resources so it takes time to find them.
There is much to do, but Cargo is in progress
WILL BE CONTINUED...
