Just a quick one, may sound a bit daft but hey ho! I seem to be really struggling to find a good source of 2nd hand parts for my old bus. Could someone help me out with either a breakers yard in my area (West Yorkshire) or the best search string for finding one because so far I have come up with nowt!
Regards

I'm in the South so obviously the parts places I know are these parts, but the small stuff will usually be posted. Try Terry on 0122576488. Or 0783659002. He was the first one to return my call when we were looking for the right track rod end for the test.

Thanks for that Fred. I need a door, or the window winder mechanism if it's removable. I spoke to the chap on here selling the doors but they are brand new and so are bare.
Rob.

Which side? We stripped the old driver's door.

Drivers side. I think it's the metal bit that holds the glass that has rotted away. I pulled a lump of it out from the bottom of the door and it kinda looks like a new one I found on the web.

Ah right that's different from the actual winder mechanism. It's usually attached to the glass. We fitted the best one, but that was on it's way too.

Oh, ok. Thanks anyway Fred. Phillips have them listed at about £30 so guess I will have to order one!

As it's attached to the glass why not look for a 2nd hand drop glass? TBH it will be hard to get the old one off

Iv'e been on the look out for a few bits I want but can't seem to find anything near by. Iv'e been on the lookout for a tyre for ages but 10R 17.5 seems to be the rarest size ever. I'm having a ride out tomorrow to try find a place my colleague told me about. Ill keep you posted!

We had a Mk2 luton in storage, went to fetch her with the 0813 and found the back was full of Cargo wheels and tyres!! Going back for them tomorrow. God knows how I would get it to you if there is one though.

The trucks are in Surrey, I live in London. The scrapper's still here, I thought it would be gone by now to keep a horsebox going. We have wheels in the yard too, will have a look.

Got the wheels and tyres (some of the wheels are a bit sh1t and rusty) will check the sizes when we get them off the back of the truck. Do you need steering or drive tyres?
