Hi Cracking truck mate, just noticed the brake air pressures, they do seem a little high, the blow off should operate around 10 bar, may,be worth checking the blow off valve. will certainly be a nice truck when you finish her, well done . Alfiebeard

QUOTE tractor unit is no different as the cab's are the same as a 7.5 tonner,
Hi Again, The floor on your tractor unit is quite different to the 7.5 tonners as the bigger engines come up through the floor, your cab seems very good around the inner wheelarches, I had to replace both side on mine, whats the cab like below the windscreen where the wiper drives come through?, mine is knackered and I am going to get round to cutting it out soon, just hoping I can do it without removing the screen, might have to cut the new panel and slip it under the windscreen rubber. well it looks like you will end up with a cracking truck mate.

Alf Hi Alf, Yep, sorry forgot about the mid-section of the heavyweight cabs, they are of course very different! My inner wheel arches are very good; just those larger outer ones that were totally knackered. Scuttle panel - or windscreen panel - is just full of filler, but ok for now. I will replace it over time though, but not for now. Cheers, Stuart Hi Stuart, I am going to tackle the wings on mine when the weather picks up here , I was wondering if your scuttle panel was also knacked, as I dont think ive seen a good one on a cargo, just hope I can fit it without taking the screen out, what colour are you going to paint yours when you get it finished?,ive got to say I quite like the green on yours, I am thinking of painting mine very dark blue. Regards Alf

Hi Stuart, I agree with the colour being virtually the same as the Kawasaki Green, I had a 1972 Kawasaki Triple which was white with a green stripe down it which was exactly like your Cargo, Although I now do all my own spray painting, I have actually brush painted 2 pack paint and when dry flatted it with 2000 grit wet n dry them polished it back up with Farecla G3 rubbing compound, and it turned out a perfect finish. Well I will let you get on and look forward to more pics of it .
Regards Alf
