Hello Cargofans, I have found a sweet looking 1989 0815 for sale and it's in great nick and only has 70000km... It's ready to hit the road and needs nothing now BUT will I be able to find parts for it going forward? Have been trying to read up on the engine but can't figure out exactly which one it is. I am not near the truck - in fact I am yet to see it in person- and all I know it is a straight six at 204hp...) Could 4250 be the engine code? I am able to fix pretty much anything, as long as I can get my hands on manuals and parts....is that going to be impossible for this particular vehicle? Thank you most kindly in advance for any info, suggestions and advice.

After a bit more legwork i suspect the engine is a ESD 660T which is a 149kw engine.... This engine seems to have been marinised by a lot of companies so internals should be possible to find if it ever comes to that (let's hope I wont need those:)
I would love to know what other parts for the Cargo will be the hardest to source going forward?

Hi and welcome to the forum. As you can see, it's a little quiet on here but please be patient. I think most folks check in every few weeks or so. I have a 1013 horsebox and the biggest problem I have had was with the load sensing valve. Most other bits I have needed have come from my local scrap yard (including tyres) Have a poke around the forum, you should be able to find answers. Meanwhile, have a look at www.phillipscommercialsonline.co.uk/PastParts is the place to go to have your LSV rebuilt but get your cheque book ready! Regards, Rob.

hell rob, thank you for replying. so of course i bought the thing... it is very nice and no issues so far. let's see how long that lasts. yup, found phillips but worrying that they claim to be the only game in town (or world)... seems I will end up custom making quite a bit... unit only has 17kkm on it so barely run in the reason i bought it is the box which is fantastic, custom made in sweden by a pro. everything is tip top as far as living standard... just wish i could make it smoke as much as an EV on the highway uphills:) cheers Mr8ch
