Hi Just joined this site. Been a long term fan of the cargo since I was about 10. My dad used to drive one. 32 years later and I've finally got my hands on one. Not the one I was after, but you've got to take what you can get. so my search for parts begins! Are there any members out there with spare body sections, or complete cabs please? Or any leads on where I might be able to source? Thank you Mark

Turkey is a good place to look for parts, they are still made there.

Turkey is a good place to look for parts, they are still made there. Only the newer model Ford/Otosan Cargo is made in Turkey now - the old Cargo ceased production there some years back, along with Brazil. The old design is still made in India today with some refinements by Ashok Leyland. They purchased the European rights to the cab design from Iveco, when the latter closed Langley in 1997.

Thanks for the info! Can parts be ordered from India or Brazil? It depends what you need!?! Most bits for 7.5's are available here AFAIK in varying condition or new at immense cost from Phillips'. I once tried ordering an ultra rare under bumper spoiler from a parts place in Brazil, but nobody spoke English and I was just banging my head against a brick wall seemingly. I tried to look for dealers in India via Google, but came up with nothing. A few years back I imported a load of top/bottom rad hoses from NZ (the rarest bits for mine) - which is where a lot of the heavy weight, Cummins engined units from here were exported to. Fairly good spares support still exists there.

NZ? Interesting. I have Kiwi members on my Mk1 and Mk2 Transit forum.
