Hi
can anyone confirm if my cargo should have power steering? It's a 0813, horse box on an A plate (1983) it doesn't have a tilting cab, so if you could point me in the right direction
thanks

As far as I am aware yes it should. Trust me you won't, as a mere mortal, be able to turn the steering wheel without it. We have an 87 that has it, that's the earliest I have been used to.

Hope this helps Alfie

Hi Dan. Friend of mine has the same year oss box that had the same problem. Her dad had been driving her about in it for ages with no power steering. Turned out, all it needed was some fluid! one of the liveries husbands came up and filled it, bled out the air and it works fine now. Bit of a pain to do as you need to pull out the interior and possibly the passenger seats to get to the inspection panel but if my information is correct, it's illegal to drive them with broken power steering.
Hope this helps, Rob.
