Hi all. My speedo has been faulty for a while now and I would like to (if possible) repair it.
It doesn't have a tachograph and my local mechanic doesn't seem to be too bothered about it not working properly either.
I know it should be last on my 'to do' list but it's just starting to bug me now.
Thanks,Rob.

When you say faulty, what's it doing? Nothing at all? Waving about? Under reading? Over reading? With the transit (cable) speedo, it's usually the drive in the gearbox. Less so the speedo head or cable.

Sorry, I should have said. It under reads and occasionally doesn't read at all.
Rob.

Sounds like something is worn. Have you had the dash out to have a look?

Not had the dash out, guess I automatically assumed it would be at the gearbox end. Ill have a look over the weekend, see if I can figure out how to get the dash out
