Hi all, well 90% of the work done for this weekend, new side bars fitted body painted, filler spraed with primer ready for the top coat in the morning.
Then the big push a full clean in side the cab (i have some new cleaning products from crome northwest) then a good wash on the out side, i will polish it when we get to peterborough.
So still abit to do but the list is getting smaller.

Well what a hot weekend, Peterbourgh truck fest was very busy i had a chat with Roger Hastings very nice chap. I will just say what a total set of idiots some of the people who were running the show, 2 hour i spent getting sent from one gate to another just for my number for the windscreen, it wouldnt have been to bad had i not had my little girl with me only to be told we carnt give you a lift back in one of the golf carts as they only carry one plus driver funny that as five minutes later one went past with 3 adults and 2 kids on funny that. Needless to say we won nothing i think the judge spent more time walking past than looking at the truck not that i expected to win but i think the results are done with cash in mind not with trucks, well all this said the weather was great had a chap wanting to buy the truck of me (not happening) the kids and the wife enjoyed them selfs. The truck looks great cargo815, I know what you mean about Judges, I Judge the car section at our local Vintage Rallies.
I was Judging the Hethersgill Rally yesterday there were over 300 cars + around 150 Trucks and around 400 Tractors, in all inc stationary engines there was 1000 exhibits.
In defence of the Judges, after you've wandered round the field for around 3hrs on a hot day Judging you tend to go on auto pilot and can easily miss the good ones, after all they are only human.
Kind Regards
Alf

Hi all, right some help needed here.
I have just found a K reg cargo 813 day cab, its is well to far gone to fix the cab i dont want to fix it just save it from the gas torch.
The truck has always been in the back of my mind from being at school as i used to see it drive past when i was sat there day dreaming between girls and trucks lol.
The farmer who owns it hes son in law used to drive it and when the company got sold he kept it, they used it for bales for a few years but they just parked it up and left it for about 6 years.
So come on do i offer him scrap price which i would say is around 300 quid or do i lisen to the wife and leave it other than a few parts i am going to try and get.

a pic of my truck with an old tracter that hadnt been move nor started in 13 years, one good battery and a drop of diesel and straight into life. I saw your truck last night at around Junction 29A of the M1 going south (about 7.30pm). I was going north in an artic (I'm an agency driver). Your Cargo looks lovely - wouldn't mind getting a pic of both yours and mine together at some stage! Here's a pic of mine taken about a month ago - dragging a friend's old tandem box trailer out of the back of his farmyard and re-siting it elsewhere. The trailer had similarly sat for 12 years and the brakes released almost instantaneously; though needed 4 or 5 shoves of the red suzie:

Now if that trailer could be restored you would have a prize winning combo there mate.
Also, re: photos, that's got me thinking. We need to find a friendly farmer/business owner to allow us to have our first Cargo rally/show on their land (for little or no cost). Must ask around a few places.

Hi, yes i was going to Nottingham to pick a car up, here was me thinking nobody ever noticed an old cargo lol.
The wife has to take all the credits for it looking tidy as she was doing all the hard work for peterborough truck fest.
